Dota 2 - Clockwerk Build Guide
0
BIO
Rattletrap descends from the same far-flung kindred as Sniper and Tinker, and like many of the Keen Folk, has offset his diminutive stature through the application of gadgetry and wit. The son of the son of a clockmaker, Rattletrap was many years apprenticed to that trade before war rode down from the mountains and swept the plains villages free of such innocent vocations. "Your new trade is battle," his dying father told him as the village of their ancestors lay in charred and smoking ruins.
It is a poor tradesman who blames his tools, and Rattletrap was never one to make excuses. After burying his father among the ruins of their village, he set about to transform himself into the greatest tool of warfare that any world had ever seen. He vowed to never again be caught unprepared, instead using his talents to assemble a suit of powered Clockwerk armor to make the knights of other lands look like tin cans by comparison. Now Rattletrap is alive with devices-a small but deadly warrior whose skills at ambush and destruction have risen to near-automated levels of efficiency. An artisan of death, his mechanizations make short work of the unwary, heralding a new dawn in this age of warfare. What time is it? It's Clockwerk time!
1. Battery Assault
Discharges high-powered shrapnel at random nearby enemy units, dealing minor magical damage and ministun.
Some of Rattletrap's contraptions don't quite work correctly, so detonating them proves useful as an offensive maneuver.
A DPS skill to all enemies nearby. A very good skill to cast while there is an enemy that cogged (see skill 2).
2. Power Cogs
Forms a barrier of energized cogs around Clockwerk, trapping any units that are near. Enemies outside the trap that touch a cog are knocked back, losing health and mana. Once a cog has delivered a shock, it will power down. Cogs can be destroyed by enemies in 3 attacks, but Clockwerk can destroy them with just one.
One of Clockwerk's inventions of which he is most proud is the power cog - though it is sometimes despised by his allies.
This skill is a main skill to lock down your target.
3. Rocket Flare
Fires a global range flare that explodes over a given area, damaging enemies and providing vision for 10 seconds.
What started as a festive display has become a useful scouting and bombardment tool.
A global skill do damaging enemy wherever he is. Can also useful for farming creeps. Can also useful for de push. You can also max this skill early for harassing enemy in your lane.
4. Hookshot
Fires a grappling device rapidly at the target location. If the hook hits a non-neutral unit, Clockwerk launches himself into the target, stunning and dealing damage. Any enemies Clockwerk collides with along the way are subject to damage and stunned. Upgradable by Aghanim's Scepter.
A somewhat unwieldy device, the Hookshot sends the otherwise clunky Clockwerk armor flying through the air.
Hookshot is a high skill - required ability that needs practice to can achieve 100% accuracy. This is your team's initiating skill. Remember to place a cog after you successfully hook a target.

Why maxed Battery Assault first? Cast this skill on a lonely target inside your cage, and let the fireworks burn your enemy.
Why maxed Rocket Flare before Power Cogs? You need the Rocket flare to do your job on early-mid game (harassing, farming, killing), you can use this to explore the map too.
STRATEGY+ITEM BUILD
Early Game
Clock starting position is usually in the offlane (top lane for radiant / bot lane for dire). Altough a competent player can play clock in the mid lane too. But as a starter better going the standard way which is in the offlane.
The goal of the offlaner is to get levels without thinking much about golds. Last hitting in the offlane is hard beacuse the enemy support will zone you.
The important things you need to do is:
1. Stacking your regenerative items like tangoes and salves to make sure that your health is always full. Make sure that you're not being killed by the enemy's aggression.
2. Don't forget to add some defensive items too. As a starting items a stout shield and a couple of branches will do. The branches is the preparation for a magic stick, Stout shield is upgradable to a vanguard.
As the game goes, you need to get boots and a magic stick as fast as possible. Botts is so important because with boots you can at least escape from enemy's gank.
The key to maximizing your early game is to know how to use the Power Cog. It can be a very tricky, The way you place your power cog in the laning phase can harass your laning enemy, Use it once in a while to drain their mana.
And also don't forget to spam your rocket flare. It will eventually reduce enemy's HP to a point where thay become low and makes them vulnerable,
Also use Rocket flare on 2:00 4:00 6:00 ( every 2 minutes) ..... to check rune
Mid Game
Before starting the gank pls use the smoke of deceit if you have enough money. It makes you invisible to the enemy wards.
2. Use hookshot to jump to your target, it will stun him and damaging him. If it miss then you need to wait the cooldown.
Maybe you need to count 1 2 3 and land a perfect hook.
3. If your hookshot lands on your target, immediately use power cog to trap him.
4. If you have Blademail already, then use it immediately, make sure he can't hurt you without hurting himself.
5. Use Battery Assault and Rocket Flare to finish him off
Your opponent is sure to die with this combo hppefully.
Cog last long so your enemy cannot move away and constantly can be harassed by you. Your friend can also helps by attacking the target while your enemy is trapped inside the cog.
Find as many kills as you possibly can. Make sure your team leading in kills.
Remember that the items that you are needed the most in the mid game are:
1.Blademail
By activating a blademail inside the powercog means that your oppontnt will hurt themself and can't escape a certain death inside your Power Cog with a massive amount of damage from Battery Assault and a Rocket Flare.
2. Forcestaff
In case you need to get out of the power cog you can use it.
And also useful for chasing your enemy
Late Game
On the late game, you can't act alone. Here your team needs to move as five. with you as the initiator..
The fate of the team depends on you so pls be more careful with your combo. aim with full concentration, don't miss any hookshot.
Pls smoke as five to make sure you are save from enemy's sight. And surprise the enemy with your immediate hookshot.
If your smoke stocks is empty better to stay at the base.
Also pls check roshan with your Rocket Flare.
Aiming the right target is the key to success, if there is a hero like sniper who is so squishy. he is your prime target, Aim him and you win.
Late Game ITEMBUILD Explanation:
The aim of the clockwerk on the late game is to create a massive tank which can bulldoze the enemies.
Octarine Core
1, Improve survivability which enables you to keep hooking everyone and damaging them using your spells
2. Spell cooldown reducer to makes your skill becomes so much more active than before,
Shivas
1. Reduce enemies attack speed
2. Reduce enemies movement speed when activated (also damaging them)
3, Improve your armor to make you tank
Heart of Tarrasque
Increase your health by a large amount, makes you unkillable
BEST FRIENDS
1. Nature's Prophet
After you successfully hook a target, he can come in and help you out with his right click and also his ultimate.
2. Wisp
The same as nature's Prophet, he can also come in with a friend right after you landed a successful hook.

BIO
Rizzrack could still hear the screams in his mind. He worked, frantically turning wrenches, twisting screws, building and carving and forging. Sleep eluded him; he only built. Months had passed since he had shut himself in his uncle's workshop, and his deliverance was nearly complete. He rubbed his back as his eyes drifted shut, and saw a blanket of flowers floating on the placid waves of Augury Bay before exploding into a cloud of pollen that silenced lives as it seized the lungs. He woke with a choking start. For hours the rhythmic sound of a whetstone filled the shop as he sharpened a set of massive blades, his mind filled with images of strangling vines garroting neighbors, enwrapping homes. The flooding of Augury Bay had been nothing compared to the violent horrors the waters left to take root beyond the city walls. But the saw-suit would make him strong and safe he thought, allowing himself this sliver of hope before the full might of his fear crashed into his fading mind. Branches and bark and blood. When the city fell, Rizzrack fled trees that walked, and fought, and killed. Trees had shattered the gates and swarmed into the city. Trees had crushed and thrashed and stomped the last that Augury Bay could muster in defense, and stalked the few fleeing refugees. In addled silence Rizzrack unspooled the thick chain from the suit's arm, his hands quaking as he inspected each link and ran a trembling finger along the claw attached at its end. The saw-suit was ready. With his hand trembling he sparked the bladed machine to life. Terror drove him, terror of what awaited him and of what he would have to face to have any hope of calming his mind. As the saw-suit shuddered to life he knew he must face this fear, and he knew he wouldn't like it one bit.
INTRODUCTION
Rizzrak the goblin shredder is one of the four new heroes that came with 6.73. much like dragonus, he's been a little neglected for some reason, at least compared to legion and xin. this is a shame, because he's really powerful and fun as shit to play. the other guides out on him right now suck dick so i wrote this one, for pubs obviously since he's not even in the -cm pool yet. you're welcome
STATS
ABILITIES
Timbersaw whirls extremely sharp edges, damaging enemies and destroying trees around him in an area. If an enemy hero is affected, it loses some of its primary attribute for a short duration. Whirling Death will deal Pure damage if a tree is cut down in the process.
Your nuke. Deal damage to area around you. Also make affected enemy to lose some of his/her primary stats. Nice skill to nuke enemies. Also can be good to farm some creeps. Remember that this skill can cut some trees.
2. Timber Chain
Timbersaw fires a chain that embeds itself in the first tree it hits, pulling him towards it. Any enemy in the path takes damage.
Jump into a tree and dealing damage in your path. With this skill, you can jumping like a Tarzan and makes you can escape easily. Feel like a Tarzan with this skill.
3. Reactive Armor
Each time Timbersaw is attacked, he gains increased health regen and armor.
When you're attacked, you gain more armor and HP Regen. Makes you a decent tanker. Really helps you to survive on ganks or in teamfights.
4. Chakram
Fires your main saw blade at the target location, and once there the blade will spin, dealing damage in an area around it and slowing enemies. For each 5% of health missing, enemies caught in the saw blade move more slowly. The blade deals damage and cuts down trees in its path when fired and retracted. You lose the ability to attack and spend mana while the blade is out.
Release a spinning Chakram that deal damage to enemies who touch it. This skill can be good to escape because you will slow down enemies that touch this Chakram. Also will deal a decent damage in teamfight. This skill absorbs some mana per second, so watch your mana.
Return Chakram
Returns the Chakram to Timbersaw.
SKILLBUILD

Level 2: Whirling Death
Level 3: Whirling Death
Level 4: Timberchain

Level 11: Chakram
Level 12: Reactive Armor
Level 13: Reactive Armor
Level 14: Reactive Armor
Level 15: Stats
Level 16: Chakram
Level 17-25: Stats
Why take Timberchain for level 1? Well, you need to avoid if there is a firstblood attempt from enemies. Use Timberchain to jump-out.
Why maxed Whirling Death first? This is your biggest nuke, can be use to farm, or to damaging some nearby enemies.
Why maxed Timberchain before Reactive armor? Nukes should be maxed first, thats the rule of DotA. Nuke will deal a nice damage for early-mid game, and will loss it's potential in late game. And Reactive armor will reduce damage from attacks which is useful on mid-late game.
ave to go mid, you might consider taking death over chains, but shredder shouldn't mid (no trees).
STRATEGY
Early Game
If you are not partnering with carry, you can use your time to last hits the creeps. Farm something to make you get some nice items. Use your skills WhirlingDeath and TimberChain once in a while to harass enemies. And if you have the chance, try to get firstblood using those two skills.
Mid Game
You need to start ganking here, in mid game, this is your time to shine. Here you should already have Chakram and start roaming and finding enemy to kill. You can jump freely like a Tarzan using Timberchain, and have some fun using Whirling Death that also can cut some trees. Use Chakram to deal damage more. If you have loss all your mana, retreat is the best choice, you are a very mana dependant hero, mana is everything for you. Remember that Chakram is also a slower skill, with this, you will be easier to escape from enemies. Timberchain and Chakram, a perfect tool for an escape artist, you.
Late Game
What you need in teamfights are: To keep cahainskill all you have. Although your damage isn't painful anymore. You still have slower ability from Chakram that will slow down enemies, and maybe still deal a good damage. Also remember that you have Whirling Death that will reduce enemy' stats. 15% reduction for main stats in a late game can be a pain for your enemy. be sure to cast any items you have during teamfights, maybe item like Shiva, Mekans, or NecroBooks will helps your team.
