    BIO
Through a process of divination, children are selected for upbringing by the Sisters of the Veil, an order that considers assassination a sacred part of the natural order. The Veiled Sisters identify targets through meditation and oracular utterances. They accept no contracts, and never seem to pursue targets for political or mercenary reasons. Their killings bear no relation to any recognizable agenda, and can seem to be completely random: A figure of great power is no more likely to be eliminated than a peasant or a well digger. Whatever pattern the killings may contain, it is known only to them. They treat their victims as sacrifices, and death at their hand is considered an honor. Raised with no identity except that of their order, any Phantom Assassin can take the place of any other; their number is not known. Perhaps there are many, perhaps there are few. Nothing is known of what lies under the Phantom Veil. Except that this one, from time to time, when none are near enough to hear, is known to stir her veils with the forbidden whisper of her own name: Mortred.
    INTRODUCTION
Mortred is a hero that have the biggest Critical Strike in DotA. She is a decent carry on late game. The critical is her trademark. On a late game she can deal more than 1000 damage in a blow with her critical. That's just too much for some squishy hero like Crystal Maiden or Shadow Demon and those squishy heroes will just explode like a small cockroach. Usually, Mortred player buy Bkb and Battlefury to make her get a cleaving attack. And with cleaving attack and magic immunity, nothing can stop her.

Why take Phantom Strike for level 1? You need Phantom Strike to escape if enemy wants to get firstblood by killing you. By jumping into nearby ally or creep, you can escape from firstblood.

Why maxed Stifling Dagger first? You need to increase this skill on early game for lower mana and more damage to last hit the creep. More level of this skill also makes you can harass more for enemy hero, with  more damage and more slow. Nuke is more effective on early game because enemy Hp is still low ( a few hundreds).

Why maxed Phantom Strike before Blur? Maxed Phantom Strike first gives many advantages because of the lower cooldown of this jumping skill. With lower cooldown you can catch your target by jumping and attacking him with more attack speed for every 5 seconds. You can also easier to escape if you are being chased.

    STRATEGY
    Early Game
On early game, you need to get as much farm as you can. The more creeps you can kill the better. Use Stifling Dagger to last hit the creep that too far to attack. As a carry, your main job is to farm because you need many items to be the best in the game. If you cannot succeed in farm, your team will have a hard time in the late game teamfight. Don't be too aggressive on early game, inexperienced Mortred player usually thinks that she is strong so he weirdly Phantom Strike and attack the stronger early-game hero which lead to a fool death.

    Mid Game
You should still farm on this stage of the game. This is your only responsibility on early-mid game. You should get the best item you can get. You can change from lane to lane and get the farm you need. As a carry, farm is your main priority, if lane creeps is already empty, you should do the jungle creeps.
If there is a teamfight near your farming area, you should help your team win the teamfight. Use Stifling Dagger on a target and then jump and attack an enemy. With constant attack, you will trigger your Critical Strike that is your most deadly weapon.
    Mortred Phantom Assassin Dota
    Late Game
On this stage of the game, you should already have the items you need. Your farm on early-mid game should be paid off. Show your high Critical Damage to the enemy. If you can jump to the enemy and land some Critical Strike on this stage of the game, your team will be likely to win the teamfight. Your Critical blow are almost sure deals 1000++ damage. And usually you are already equipped with the Battlefury, that means a cleaving 1000++ damage should be received by the enemy. And no one can survive it.

    BIO
In the Acid Jungles of Jidi Isle, poison runs in the veins and bubbles in the guts of every creature that scuttles, climbs or swoops between fluorescent vines dripping with caustic sap. Yet even in this toxic menagerie, Venomancer is acknowledged as the most venomous. Ages ago, an Herbalist named Lesale crossed the Bay of Fradj by coracle, searching for potent essences that might be extracted from bark and root, and found instead a nightmare transformation. Two leagues into Jidi's jungle, Lesale encountered a reptile camouflaged as an epiphyte, which stung him as he mistakenly plucked it. In desperation, he used his partial knowledge of the jungle's herbal bounty, mixing the venom of the (swiftly throttled) reptile with the nectar of an armored orchid, to compound an antidote. In the moments before a black paralysis claimed him completely, he injected himself by orchid-thorn, and instantly fell into a coma. Seventeen years later, something stirred in the spot where he had fallen, throwing off the years' accumulation of humus: Venomancer. Lesale the Herbalist no longer-but Lesale the Deathbringer. His mind was all but erased, and his flesh had been consumed and replaced by a new type of matter-one fusing the venom of the reptile with the poisonous integument of the orchid. Jidi's Acid Jungles knew a new master, one before whom even the most vicious predators soon learned to bow or burrow for their lives. The lurid isle proved too confining, and some human hunger deep in the heart of the Venomancer drove Lesale out in search of new poisons-and new deaths to bring.

Why maxed Venomous Gale before Poison Sting? The rule of DotA: Nukes for early game, physical damage for late game.  Venomous Gale is a nuke that will  deal more damage on early-mid game. And Poison Sting is for physical attacks that will be the main source of damages for mid-late game.

    STRATEGY
    Early Game
Venomancer have the best slower in this game on level 1. You need to use this advantage into maximum potential.
Since the game start, be aggressive by hunting firstblood and harass your enemy to the max. While your enemy is knocked with your 50% move-slow, you and your friends can easily harass the target and get firstblood.

    1. If you choose the push-counterpush build, you need to max the Wards first. Ward is not so powerful if alone, so you need to stack the wards until it will surround the area and become the strong tools to deal damage to the area.
Pushing towers will be easy with your wards. And also don't forget about the defensive power of your wards, it can make your enemy to retreat and cancel their push.

    2. If you choose the full-harassing build, your enemy will be so annoyed of you. They will have a hard time in last hitting/denying because you will always can harass them until low HP, or get kills if you're lucky.

You can last hits the creeps but this is not your priority because you don't need much farm to be strong, your skill alone is enough to fight your enemy.

Usually your team decide you to be the support for the team, so you may need to buy some wards, courier, or Smoke for the team.

    Mid Game
Mid game is the time for ganking-party and early-pushing. Usually, the ganker from each team will roam around the map try to help other lane and get early kills. Ganker like Lion or you are the horoes who should do this job. What you need to to is finding easy lane with a delicious enemy to start with. Coordinate the gank with your partner and make sure your team gets the early kills you need. Your main skill is Venomous Gale, if this skill successfully hit the target, your team can easily harass and get kills. So first you need to master the using of this skill. This skill is a stright forward skill and not a targetted skill, so your opponent can move and evade this poison. What you need to do is to come nearer your opponent and make sure it will hits your target. Once it hits the target, your move will be easy. You and your friends can then harass your target easily.

Here on mid game, you should already have Poison Nova. This is your main skill. This is one of the biggest skill damage on this game. The damage is almost sure will reduce enemy's HP to a very low condition. But unfortunately, this skill cannot kill your target, it will leave the enemy with just 1 HP and will stop reducing HP. You will need another source of damage to get the kills, you can use your own skill like Venomous Gale or your friends can do the job.

If you choose to be the pusher-counterpusher build, then you need to maxing Plague Ward first. Stacking Plague is the best way to defend against enemy's push. The damage from accumulated Plagues in an area can destroy enemy's creep waves easily. The Plague is also needed for pushing, stacks the Plague near enemy's tower and deal continuous damage to tower and the creeps.

If you are the support of your team, remember to always buy the wards and place it in a strategiuc location to see enemy's movement.

    Late Game
On late game, your job is still the same:
    1. If you are the support for the team, remember to buy wards, smoke, or gem for the sake of the team.
    2. Plague Ward stacking is the best way to defend against enemy's push.
    3. Plague Ward stacking is also useful for pushing. It will destroy enemy's creep waves and towers.
    4. Posion Nova have very high damage, you need a good positioning for this skill, try to at least use it for 3 heroes.
    5. Always use Venomous Gale and Normal Attack to harass enemy's more.

That is 5 big things to remember. Try to do your job as good as you can. Venomancer job is to support the team by buying the teams supplies like Observer Wards, deal as much poison damage to enemies and to place lots of Plague Wards to push or counterpush.
